Clean up Windows print queues
wprclean [-c] [queue(s)]
The wprclean program removes all print jobs created by the
current user from local Windows print queues.
This program is available for Windows only.
In PC labs or classrooms in schools or universities you can run this program in the user logoff script.
0 on success, all other values indicate errors.
Configuration file syntax
In previous versions the dk3print.conf file contained a lot of information.
Now the file is only used by winprint and wprclean, so the only purpose is to assign short alias names to Windows print queues.
[printer Xerox Phaser 4500DP PS] alias = lp [printer HP Laserjet 4M] alias = hplj
allows to use
to clean up the "Xerox Phaser 4500DP PS" print queue.
If you have two printers "Xerox Phaser 4500DT PS" and "HP Laserjet 2200DN" you could create a dk3print.conf file as follows:
[printer Xerox Phaser 4500DT PS] alias = xph [printer HP Laserjet 2200DN] alias = hplj
Now you can use either short printer names "xph" or "hplj" or full printer names "Xerox Phaser 4500DT PS" or "HP Laserjet 2200DN" to specify the destination printer.
If you configure user logoff scripts to clean up both local Windows print queues and LPD/LPRng print queues, run wprclean before running lprngcl.
This program uses DK libraries version 3.
It is only available on the Windows platform.
|lprngcl||LPRng queue cleanup.
Mainly intended for user logoff scripts in computer classrooms.
